Power Banks are a great way to market and brand your company. If you need marketing ideas please contact us – we love showing our clients the best way to “get their brand out there”. Power banks have been around for awhile and there have been many upgrades to the quality over the past few years. So now there are A LOT of options when it comes to marketing with power banks. Not only being an educated consumer about power banks is important but also knowing what you are giving away to your clients. So let’s dive into what you need to know about power banks before your purchase.
There are several classes of power banks:
- Economy – ideal for charging phones – generally will charge 1 phone per charge
- Business Class – Cost more than economy but is able to charge phones and tablets – can charge more than 1 device per charge.
- Special Class – Cost more than business class but will charge phone, tablet, notebook computer (some are even able to start up a car battery…lol)
Speed of charge is not dependent on class. They are all about the same.
Charging power bank – higher class banks take longer to charge
With regards to charging apple vs android it will charge either – your client will use their charger it has a USB slot.
Designs and Options:
Small square or round and then a flat larger (about the size of a business card maybe a little less) design which gives more space for imprint. Options also include flashlight, speaker, kits, and LED. Here are some samples of different designs.
Lastly – UL listing – there are many power banks that do not have a UL listing but I would consider a UL listed product. It may be more expensive than a non UL listed product – but UL means it meets certain safety requirements/standards.
