When you are looking at purchasing a pen to represent your business I often hear, “I just need a cheap pen”. The definition of value is the regard that something is held to deserve; the importance, worth, or usefulness of something.
Remember when you hand out this pen it is representing your business. You want a pen you would use. You know “THE” pen that everyone in the office snags when you’re not looking. Because if it’s a pen you use it’s likely it’s a pen that the prospective clients you are giving the pen to will use it also. Which means staying top of mind of your clients and prospective clients.
Tip: Make sure to leave at least one pen every time you sign a receipt. This will give you more views of your company by everyone who uses the pen after you leave it.

It could be all of these – this is the psychology of getting your client to purchase from you. You need to know what your clients want. Remember the company example I gave you in part 1? That company is a master at branding they know what their clients/patrons want – they keep coming back time and time again.
Make your message simple and have character when you are dealing with branding and products.
Here’s an example case study: You want to start an employee health initiative at your business. So you create a program where employees can earn gifts by working out x times a week, or losing x amount of weight. Your creating a simple message – We value our employees which also shows your character then your going to help motivate them to be healthy.
